Who is Superfood Consulting & why did you develop superfood?

I've been working in my family business making food for over 25 years. Our business employed over 140 staff and was a true FMCG food business. In 2023 we exited the business to a buyout from Bedford Industries, Australia's 2nd largest Disability employer.

In that time of huge growth we struggled with our data between the office and the factory floor. Over the last decade I've been working on the solution that I believe is needed in the market, especially if you can't afford or don't quite have the resources for an ERP system.

Superfood Consulting was started as a side-gig that would allow me to utilise my IT skills outside of my family business. Whilst food is my business, IT is my passion!

It's kind of scary how customisable it can be now that your data is cloud-managed. Some customisation examples include:

  • SMS when an invoice goes out under minimum GP requirement
  • Daily "overdue purchase orders" report emailed at 8am updated management of any food/stock not yet arrived
